Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Industrial Spray Painter - 2nd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $26.20 to $27.80 + $2.50 shift differential per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000* paid in two installments, less applicable withholding.
*Bonus terms:
  • Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after January 1st, 2024 to qualify.

What you'll do:
Eaton's Electrical Power Systems Division is currently seeking an Industrial Spray Painter - 2nd Shift to join our team!
Position overview:
The Spray Painter sands, cleans, masks, and paints all Terra-Tran units, Power Units, field returns, and fabricated components which require final finishing. All units must be painted before final inspection.
In this function you will:
• Prepare all surfaces to be sprayed properly. This includes bare metal areas and the proper sanding, feather edging of previously painted surfaces. All in-house rework and field returns are painted in this booth.
• Be knowledgeable as to what bushings and associated transformer accessories must be masked to prevent them from being painted.
• Check the Bills of Material for correct color and specified mull thickness. Record serial number of units repainted and affixed to the unit for identification.
• Adjust and periodically check all pump pressures, heater temperatures, air and fluid pressures to maintain the best possible spraying application condition.
• Paint viscosity at the beginning of the shift and at mid-shift, use a Zahn cup and stopwatch to check paint viscosities when required.
• Check and maintain proper fluid and air pressure in pressure pots used for spraying all special colors.
• Check units with great care to ensure that no areas have been missed.
• Change filters and maintain cleanliness of spray booth associates floor areas on a scheduled basis.
• Clean and lubricate all spray guns at the end of the shifts.
• Become certified to wear a personal respirator.
• Clean and maintain personal respirator on a scheduled basis.
• Procure all paints from Paint Room as needed, using hand cart and barrel truck.
• Operate 15,000 lb. electric walker to move smaller units into paint booth.
• Coordinate with crane operator all moves of large units in and out of the spray booth.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required.
• Previous industrial, manufacturing, or automotive spray-painting experience
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous working knowledge of industrial airless and/or air pressure painting
• Minimum of six (6) months previous spray-painting experience is preferred
