Job description

At Fresh Coat, our painters are truly artisans of their craft. We build trust with our clients through our commitment to culture, value, and outstanding experience.
We're looking for experienced painting 1099 subcontractors to build a long-term working relationship with for residential and commercial projects that we will secure throughout the Stamford-Greenwich area as we grow. We provide the paint and materials, you provide the labor, tools, equipment, and transportation.
Painters will properly prepare the surrounding area with the appropriate protective coverings, prepare the surfaces by identifying and correcting imperfections, applying the correct paint material coverage on a clean surface, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area, complete the project within the allotted productivity time, resulting in a minimum Level 3 Finish based on PCA Standards.Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of professional painting experience.
  • Must have an established painting business that is fully insured (general liability), carries Workers' Compensation coverage (or a valid exemption) and certified as follows:
    • OSHA Training and EPA Lead-Safe  
  • Must have your own transportation.
  • Must own all necessary painting equipment (ladders, rollers, brushes, drop cloths, sprayers, etc.).
  • Must be willing to pass a basic background check

  • You have your own painting crew (2-3+ painters)
  • Experience managing people and running jobs
  • Commercial Experience: Dryfall, Spray booths, Metal roofs, Wrought iron, Pro Coat systems, etc

Pay

Projects are paid on a per-project basis, but on average between $25 and $35 an hour depending on experience.
