Job description

Job Title: Commercial Painter
Job Type: Contract / Project-Based
Preferred: Own and operate a painting business or work as an independent painting contractor.


Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Commercial Painters for an upcoming commercial painting project. The work will involve repainting the interior of a commercial building, starting on the first floor and progressing through the upper levels. Areas include offices, corridors, hallways, and other interior spaces.

Candidates should have recent commercial painting experience and be able to deliver high-quality workmanship while following project schedules and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare interior surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed.
  • Apply paint, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Paint offices, hallways, corridors, and other commercial interior areas.
  • Protect floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent commercial (non-residential) painting experience.
  • Experience painting offices, commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, retail spaces, or similar facilities.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods.
  • Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding when required.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Own and operate a painting business or work as an independent painting contractor.
  • Experience leading or managing commercial painting projects.
  • OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
