Job description

Are you an Early Childhood Educator that loves finger painting, (to allow the children a new sensory experience, of course) blowing bubbles, (to demonstrate cause and effect, why else?) and reading stories using puppets and other props (to encourage a playful spirit and to show the children that reading is fun, yes!) Do you enjoy walking into a room where everyone knows your name, offers hugs, compliments and the best homemade art projects your refrigerator can hold?

Are you familiar with the Early Learning Foundations for the State of Delaware and The Delaware STARS quality improvement process?  Are you comfortable with technology and using it regularly in the classroom?  Do you want to be a part of a nurturing environment that sets our students well ahead of where they need to be based on state and national standards?
Come join a premier preschool located on Wilmington's beautiful riverfront! The Goddard School is looking for part-time Early Childhood Educators.
We are searching for energetic and devoted part-time Assistant Teachers for the end of the day throughout the school- with the possibility to move into a full-time position.

Qualifications for assistant teachers include:

  • At least associates degree,
  • TECE 1 and/or  TECE 2 or CDA credential,
  • At least 6 months of experience in an early childhood classroom,
  • Must possess Delaware Department of Education/ DE First Certificate
