The Painting Crew Leader is responsible for managing a team of painters to deliver high-quality residential and commercial painting projects. This role includes overseeing day-to-day jobsite operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, and mentoring team members. As a Crew Leader, you set the tone on the jobsite-modeling professionalism, accountability, and our company's core values.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution
  • Lead jobsite operations from start to finish, ensuring timely and professional execution
  • Deliver premium quality workmanship aligned with company standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow scopes of work, work orders, and color schedules accurately

Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise and support painters and apprentices, ensuring proper techniques and productivity
  • Train and mentor team members to grow their skills and confidence
  • Foster teamwork and promote a respectful, positive work environment
  • Ensure your crew represents the company professionally at all times

Customer Communication
  • Greet clients at the start of each project and maintain open, courteous communication
  • Address any client concerns proactively and communicate with the Field Supervisor when needed
  • Perform project walk-throughs and ensure 100% customer satisfaction before leaving the site

Safety & Quality Control
  • Enforce and model all safety protocols-zero injuries is always the goal
  • Ensure consistent use of PPE, proper ladder usage, and safe jobsite practices
  • Monitor quality throughout the job and complete final punch lists with attention to detail
  • Hold yourself and your crew accountable for delivering exceptional results

Job Reporting & Documentation
  • Track job progress and submit daily updates to the Field Supervisor
  • Use apps and company tools to document job photos, crew hours, and completion reports
  • Communicate material needs, job delays, or scope changes promptly

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a crew is preferred
  • Excellent understanding of surface prep, application methods, and coatings
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
