Job description

Description:

We are seeking a General Manager for the Exterior Commercial Let’s Paint division to be responsible for leading the launch, growth, and day-to-day operations. This individual will have full operational ownership of the division, with responsibility for helping to build a scalable subcontractor network, overseeing project management and execution and driving profitable growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the operational rollout and ongoing development of the exterior commercial painting division.

• Develop and implement processes, SOPs, standards, and best practices to support scalable national growth.

• Complete P&L responsibility for the Let’s Paint business unit.

• Set and amend strategic direction as needed while leading necessary business planning.

• Develop, track, and report against divisional performance measurements – KPIs and OKRs.

• Responsible for all Let’s Paint personnel; hire, train, guide, direct, review, and hold accountable.

• Provide regular progress updates and strategic direction, share greatest challenges and successes.

• Source, develop, and enhance relationships.

• Represent the business unit and company both internally and externally.

• Subject matter expert, familiarity with industry best practices, and adhere to all federal, state, and local business laws and regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or combination work experience and education.

• Commercial painting experience, preferably in a leadership role, with familiarity with complementary exterior services such as waterproofing, caulking/sealants, façade restoration, pressure washing, masonry coatings.

• Experience building and managing subcontractor/vendor networks.

• Strong understanding of estimating, job costing, gross margin management, and project financial performance

• Experience leading project managers, field teams, subcontractors, or other operational personnel.

• Passion for building culture, engagement, and sustaining success.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize and implement ideas. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

• Ambitious and self-motivated. Balancing the ability to work independently, be highly organized and detail oriented, while also actively participating and leading in a team-based environment.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with a typical workweek of 40 or more hours, with additional hours as needed to support business operations. As required to support the needs of the business additional hours may be required. Employees may be eligible to participate in a hybrid work environment with proven track record. This role requires up to 35% travel.

Expected Salary Range:

The expected salary range offered for this position is $150,000-$175,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on various factors including but not limited to, experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary bonus or commissions.
