Job description
Skilled Trades Specialists is seeking Industrial painters for a growing Tulsa area fabrication shop. These positions are for 1st and 2nd shifts dependent on required need. Pay is $20-$23 per hour with overtime and double-time availability.
Qualifications- Previous industrial painting experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
- Strong understanding of surface prep methods including sanding, grinding, and cleaning
- Familiarity with industrial coatings, paint mixing, and proper application techniques
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Hands‑on experience using spray guns and other painting tools
- High attention to detail with a focus on producing quality finishes
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in a shop environment
- Reliable attendance and able to keep up in a fast‑paced production atmosphere
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Prep metal parts by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking as required
- Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer guidelines and job specs
- Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment and other painting tools
- Inspect finished parts to ensure proper coverage, consistency, and quality
- Maintain and clean spray guns and painting equipment after each use
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when working with chemicals
