Job description

Description:

The maintenance technician's role is not supervisory; you will work with the supervisor to efficiently operate the assigned departments by performing various repairs and maintenance tasks for the restaurant(s) and facilities upkeep. Facilities include multiple locations for Jack in the Box and Qdoba Mexican Eats.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and plumbing systems, including repairing lighting, grills, fryers, and appliances.
  • Serve multiple locations to provide a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property's systems and equipment to identify and address any issues.
  • Perform self-identified repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as part of a preventive maintenance program.
  • Flooring, plumbing, and electrical repairs
  • Equipment installation
  • All other jobs assigned.


Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently and safely to perform all maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to build and maintain a professional relationship with store management and staff.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor all progress and issues that may arise or parts needed. Ability to manage inventory and complete invoices accurately.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Team orientated and good communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and work independently.
  • Tile repair knowledge.
  • Painting, building, and property repair experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in restaurant equipment repair
  • Light electrical and basic plumbing knowledge.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Mechanically minded and interested in "fixing" things, troubleshooting, and problem-solving; at least one year of experience.
  • Have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • 50% travel required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Have reliable transportation.
