Job description

Staffing Network is seeking an experienced Powder Coater. The ideal candidate will have strong powder-coating knowledge, leadership skills, and experience troubleshooting equipment and production processes.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Location: WARWICK, RI 02886
Pay: $20/HR. Weekly pay

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sets up paint delivery system to apply required coating per specifications.
  • Strong supervisory and people skills
  • Capable of working closely with company management, equipment manufacturers, and vendor representatives to troubleshoot processes, and maximize the performance of equipment and process.
  • Must be capable of following safety programs to ensure safe operation of the entire finishing line and help enforce safety programs among the team.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills; be able to keep production records.
  • Be able to monitor, record, and correct pretreatment chemical levels.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all paint tools and equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations to minimize and/or eliminate downtime.
  • Reviews paint finish for adherence to required product paint specifications ensuring all required specifications are met.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area
  • Be able to monitor and correct dry off and cure oven temperatures.
  • Powder Coater generally works 40 hours a week. However, may be required to work overtime during peak production periods as determined by production management
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three to five years of powder-coating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational, and people skills.
  • Ability to safely work in a high-temperature manufacturing environment.
Experience With:

  • Conveyor systems
  • Dry-off and curing ovens
  • Efficient part-hanging techniques
  • Loading and unloading production lines
  • Proper powder-spraying techniques
Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, twist, squat, reach, and perform repetitive hand and finger movements.
