Job Title: QAPC Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Lab Technician to perform a variety of technical laboratory procedures. This role involves handling chemicals and using sensitive equipment to analyze samples, conduct tests, and report findings that aid in operational decisions. The technician will work closely with the Process Control Lab (QAPC) team leader. The position requires a commitment to maintaining safe work conditions and a passion for contributing to the production of quality finished goods.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and analyze samples from production, innovation teams, and special projects.
  • Safely execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings.
  • Organize and store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
  • Accurately document all data and results in specified forms, both paper and electronic.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly environment.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Lab Technician or relevant position.
  • Experience in operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment and handling potentially dangerous substances such as flammable liquids, acids, and bases.
  • Knowledge of SHE systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite (especially Excel), database systems, and Teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
  • Degree in biology, chemistry, or a relevant field.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing paint lab, where the technician will initially train for 30–60 days with a schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. After training, the technician will transition to a night shift schedule with a 2-2-3 rotation, working from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. The company offers retention bonuses at 3, 6, 12, and 18 months.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
