Job description

Job Overview
The Paint Operator prepares surfaces and applies epoxy and urethane wet paints to obtain high-grade finishes on parts or products.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
  • Applying masking tape and/or caps to protect parts and components that are not to be coated.
  • Applying wet coat surfaces of manufactured products with epoxy and urethane coatings.
  • Adjust valves on spray guns to regulate the width and pressure of spray.
  • Pull trigger and direct spray onto the work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
  • Properly cleaning and maintaining all spray equipment including booth maintenance.
  • Making suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work.
  • Following instructions, both written and verbal, from the lead person and production supervisors.
  • Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
    Inspect your own work for conformity to standards.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to utilize basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of proper usage of safety equipment

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (required)
