What is a paint helper?

Paint Helpers are entry-level workers who assist painters in preparing surfaces, mixing paints, setting up equipment, and cleaning up job sites. They play a crucial role in ensuring that painting projects run smoothly and efficiently by handling tasks such as masking, sanding, scraping, and moving materials. Paint Helpers often work under the supervision of more experienced painters and may learn the trade on the job, making this position a good starting point for a career in painting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a paint helper?

To thrive as a Paint Helper, you need basic knowledge of surface preparation, safety procedures, and familiarity with painting materials, often gained through on-the-job training or a high school diploma. Experience with tools like sanders, sprayers, and protective equipment, as well as adherence to OSHA safety standards, is typically required. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability help ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. These skills and qualities are crucial for maintaining high-quality finishes, workplace safety, and efficient project completion.

If you're excited about helping people, providing solutions, and closing the sale, we want to speak with you immediately!
Five Star Painting is hiring a Sales Estimator in our area. As a valued team member, you'll follow up on leads, provide accurate estimates to potential customers, and close the deal so our team can refresh their property with new paint.
We provide you with the leads - you just need to nurture them to close. We've seen time and again that the best estimators are those that take the time to build a relationship with the customer. Our team is committed to your training and your success.

• Organized, detail-oriented and strive to deliver extremely accurate estimates.
• Take pride in your effective communication skills when working with strangers.
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude when selling to customers.
• Team player who can also work independently if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to the office and our customers' properties.
• Prior experience in home service sales is a plus.
