As a Paint Prepper, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional collision repairs by ensuring every vehicle is properly prepared for a flawless finish. We value team members who are dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute every day.

The Day to Day

Review repair orders before beginning work to ensure accuracy and understanding.

Prepare vehicles for refinishing according to manufacturer specifications.

Sand, featheredge, block, and prime repaired surfaces for a smooth, paint-ready finish.

Prime, edge, and jamb replacement parts as needed.

Mask vehicles and panels to minimize overspray and create clean paint lines.

Apply the correct type and number of primer coats.

Help maintain efficient paint labor costs while producing high-quality work.

Monitor the status of assigned vehicles and work with the team to keep repairs on schedule for on-time delivery.

Follow all OSHA safety standards, refinishing procedures, and hazardous waste disposal requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

The Right Fit

At least 1 year of automotive paint preparation experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Excellent work ethic with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.

Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening upon hire.
