Job description

Our client has been in business over 100 years and is looking for a Formulation Chemist to join their team. In this role you would report to the COO and be essential in pioneering new products, compounding formulations, troubleshooting production and process challenges and overseeing production trials. Formulation experience in any of the following is preferred: Coating, laminating, adhesives, resins, paints and varnishes,  composites, textile finishes for yarn and/or fabrics. Full benefits and Opportunity for advancement. 


For chemists who prefer running in-depth lab experiments and comprehensive reports, this would not be the right fit. For those who enjoy rapid prototyping of formulations and processes, transferring the processes to the production line, and trouble shooting the issues, you would do well in this role. 


Must have a BS degree in Chemistry.

1-3 years of formulation experience. Ideally with water based systems applied to web or textile substrates. Experience with solvent based or 100% solids is a plus.
