Job description

We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers. Previous hardware experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide extensive training.

General Summary:

The Paint Associates are primarily responsible for helping paint customers. They also assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. Paint associates will also be cross trained on cashier and sales associate duties.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
  • Assist paint customers with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
  • Greet customers throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
  • Assist with orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise of the paint department.
  • Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
  • Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor
  • Be professional in appearance and actions.
  • Retail experience (preferred)
  • Paint experience (preferred)
  • Hardware experience (preferred)
