Job description

Role Purpose

Perform all painting assigned by Body Shop Manager, Flat-Rate Painter or Hourly Painter using materials and supplies economically.

Leadership

This position does not lead others

Core Accountabilities

  1. Prepare vehicles for spraying (sanding, taping, covering, etc).
  2. Properly match colors on vehicles to achieve full customer satisfaction.
  3. Spray all paint work.
  4. Assist in keeping all areas clear and organized.
  5. Maintain paint equipment as suggested by manufacturer and OSHA.
  6. Attend any and all assigned training selected or required management.
  7. Maintain paint mix room and paint booth in neat and orderly fashion; includes cleaning on a daily basis, changing filters, emptying receptacles, monitor storage of miscellaneous perches and part holding rack.
  8. Operate computer and scale system for paint mixing formulas. Mix paint for quality color matches, including tinting and blending colors.
  9. Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds, bends, reach overhead, squat and stoop.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations that pertain to your job and have been instructed to you through “Right to know” and safety training.
  11. Miscellaneous duties as needed.
