The Lead Two-Year-Olds Teacher at Children's Land is responsible for nurturing a vibrant and stimulating learning environment where two-year-old children can thrive. This role demands a dedicated individual who can craft engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences that cater to the unique developmental needs of two-year-olds. A comprehensive understanding of the DCFS requirements in Illinois is essential to ensure the highest standards of childcare and education.
Roles and Responsibilities:
โ Develop and follow age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
โ Monitor the children's developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.
โ Facilitate a structured daily routine that includes playtime, learning activities, and rest periods.
โ Always ensure the safety of the children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
โ Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
โ Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and any concerns.
โ Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
โ Create and utilize educational materials to stimulate the children's senses and promote learning.
โ Organize activities that encourage the children to explore their surroundings and develop their motor skills.

Qualifications:
โ Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
โ Previous experience working with two-year-olds or young children.
โ Knowledge of DCFS requirements in Illinois.
โ CPR and First Aid certification.
โ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
โ Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
โ Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.

โ Lift and carry children weighing up to 40 lbs.
โ Stand for extended periods of time, run, and actively engage in play with children.
