Cash Applications / Payment Posting Specialist
Location: Pico Rivera, CA (Onsite) Pay: $23/hour Industry: Food Manufacturing Job Type: Contract (with potential for hire)
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications / Payment Posting Specialist to join a fast-paced food manufacturing company in Pico Rivera. This role is responsible for accurately posting and reconciling customer payments, supporting accounts receivable functions, and ensuring timely and accurate application of cash receipts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply daily customer payments including ACH, wire, checks, and lockbox transactions
  • Accurately post payments to customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile cash receipts to bank deposits and daily reports
  • Research and resolve short pays, deductions, and unapplied cash
  • Maintain organized records of payment transactions and supporting documentation
  • Communicate with internal accounting teams and customers to resolve payment issues
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting as needed
  • Support audit requests related to cash and accounts receivable transactions
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in cash applications, payment posting, or accounts receivable
  • Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (manufacturing or food industry a plus)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Schedule & Work Environment:
  • Monday - Friday, full-time
  • Onsite position in Pico Rivera
  • Contract role with strong potential for hire based on performance
Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
