You will be an essential part of our diverse team, responsible for the execution of all events at Petco Park. Your attention to detail and commitment to creating safe and memorable experiences will make a significant impact on the operations at Petco Park.

  • Participating in the set-up, execution and breakdown of various events at Petco Park including Padres home games, concerts, community events, and other special events both on and offsite
  • Safely and efficiently providing guests shuttle or wheelchair transportation in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Maintaining effective communication with team members and Padres management through two-way radio
  • Assisting in the execution of promotional giveaway distribution and other promotional based events and activations

  • Being consistent, punctual, and having reliable attendance

  • Being bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not necessary

You will be required to meet the following:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
  • Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time, up to the complete duration of shifts, and in all types of weather conditions (heat, direct sun and inclement weather); able to lift/ transport up to 35 pounds
  • Must have a valid current driver's license with a good driving record (subject to review)
  • This is a year-round position with specific requirements for the baseball season and for full venue events.
  • You will be required to make yourself available for at least an 8-hour shift on dates designated as โ€œAll Hands on Deckโ€. โ€œAll Hands on Deckโ€ dates are events requiring full staffing due to promotions and/or full venue concerts and events.
  • Must also be available to work at least 30% of home games not listed as โ€œAll Hands on Deckโ€ dates during the season.
  • As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Salary and Additional Compensation:

Per the California pay transparency law, the pay rate for this position is $21.14 per hour. Part- time non-union employees are subject to the San Diego Living Wage Ordinance and rates will increase accordingly.

In addition to your hourly rate, the Padres offer PTO, employee discounts, appreciation, and recognition opportunities for this position.
