Familiarity with monitoring equipment, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is typically required. Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills help nurses excel in the fast-paced, high-stakes PACU environment. During the initial weeks of a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Training Program, you can expect a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience.
