To thrive as a PACM, you need a comprehensive medical knowledge base, strong clinical assessment skills, and a master's degree from an accredited physician assistant program, along with NCCPA certification. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), diagnostic tools, and medical practice management systems is typically required. In occupational health and safety roles, a PACM refers to any building material that is presumed to contain asbestos unless it has been tested and proven otherwise.
