Job description

Primary Job Description:
Delivery of products to various commercial job sites. Our products are unique in nature and require care in loading. Transported products are loaded on various flat bed & enclosed trailers. The product must always be secured safely when transported. The candidate must be competent and reliable driver, will be driving fleet trucks and trailers to various sites within downtown Calgary.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all job functions with adherence to Precision Aluminum’s Values as well as the Safety and Environmental Standards.
  • Loading and unloading shipments of a variety of products.
  • Maintains orderly condition of our warehouse, monitoring inventory levels
  • Verifies data and resolve problems regarding receiving/delivering shipments.
  • Packages Pick n Pack orders in preparation for shipping
  • Verify orders from packing slip and handle delivery to various locations.
  • Maintain company truck automotive records

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Education:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent level of education
  • Written and spoken English

Required Experience:

  • Using hand and power tools, strapping machine
  • Forklift, pallet jack & side loader experience would be an asset
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license, (drivers abstract will be pulled) confident
  • Experienced in hauling a trailer.
  • Experienced with power tools, and trailer wiring

Required PPE

  • Steel Toes

Knowledge, Competencies, Skills and Attributes:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Effective team player
  • Physically Fit – Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

  1. Must have at least 2 years experience in delivery driving experience
  2. Must have some experience in Towing trailers
  3. Needs to be Confident & Comfortable with hauling trailer in Downtown Calgary
  4. Must obtain a clean driving record - this will be checked upon pre-employment
