Packer


Located in Mansonville, Quebec, the responsibilities of the packer are as follows:

  • Ensure that safety standards are followed daily and that housekeeping is maintained in all production areas related to this position.

  • Follow established procedures (ISO, JSA, LOTO, etc.).

  • Keep the level of bead storage tanks low.

  • Always have a bag ready to be filled at the packaging station.

  • Refill chemical product tanks at the packaging station.

  • Follow the quality control sequence for the finished product.

  • Print labels with the correct information and attach them to the appropriate bags.

  • Collect samples of the finished product for the laboratory (pilot plan, bottles for quality control, etc.).

  • Transport filled bags to the production storage area using a forklift.

  • Submit maintenance requests to the service department when necessary.

  • Enter data into the computer system and update relevant reports.

  • Maintain an inventory of all products at the packing station; this responsibility mainly falls on the helper when needed.

  • Implement and support new projects.

  • Train others for the packer position.

  • Complete tracking sheets related to the position.

  • Conduct a 5S audit of the assigned area every Sunday. Maintain a 5S follow-up of the workstation (min/max levels, tools in place, cleanliness, etc.).

  • Perform any other tasks as requested or as needed within the scope of the position.


Additional Information:
  • Proficiency in French is required

  • Reports directly to the production supervisor.

  • Overtime may be required when necessary.

  • Must be available for training.
