Job description

A leading contract manufacturer of deep draw metal stampings located in Zeeland is looking for a Packer who has the eager to grow from within. Must have prior experience and willing to grow into an Operator.
Light Assembly/Packaging
For this position, ideal candidates would be working on a semi automated machine to do light assembly, loading the machine, unloading the machine, loading and/or unloading the washer. Candidate needs to be able to be cross trained. Some fast pace is involved with multi tasking. Other duties could be paperwork, creating labels, making/stacking boxes, troubleshooting a computer if the machine goes down, etc.

While packing at some work stations can be slower paced, the majority of machines do require fast-paced motion. Could be packing at one or more presses at a time.
  • 1 container filled every 45-60 seconds
  • Containers weigh around 20 lbs
  • Containers must be closed, labeled, moved from the conveyor onto a pallet
  • Additional containers/totes must be assembled while the current tote is being filled
    • Assemble container (box or plastic tote)
    • Insert plastic VCI bag
    • Insert VCI paper sheet


Light Assembly/Packaging Job Requirements
