Job Description:

We are looking for a Shipping Receiving Technician to join our growing team and support our fast-paced, high-volume, made-to-order Sprocket Manufacturer in the beautiful South Slocan, BC. We offer a relaxed and human-centric and inclusive environment where our team members are encouraged to be themselves and learn in a safe atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packaging, labeling and arranging for shipments leaving our facility
  • Completing all freight documentation/book pickups and labeling product 
  • Receiving all shipments delivered to the door ensuring all are weighed
  • Ensuring material received matches packing slip and purchase orders match up to packing slip
  • Use of forklift (big and small) for loading and unloading shipments from freight trucks
  • Ensuring sufficient supplies are located in the shipping area
  • Help co-workers in the assembly and final completion of parts for shipping
  • Make sure the work area is clean to ensure a safe environment
  • Complete any other tasks assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the shop
  • Act as a member of a team to support the production of sprockets 


Requirements:

  • High attention to detail
  • High level of adaptability and learning agility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings to identify quality issues (training will be provided with this skill development)
  • Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and ability to safely lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work 4 on 4 off on a rotation schedule, including weekends and stat holidays
  • Previous experience in shipping, warehousing or manufacturing, preferred
