Job description

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk ensures the smooth flow of goods into and out of our commissary. You'll be responsible for checking incoming kitchen supplies and ingredients for accuracy and quality, while also organizing outgoing orders for our various locations.
This is a physical, fast-paced role that requires a keen eye for detail to ensure our chefs have exactly what they need to stay cooking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive Deliveries: Unload trucks and verify that incoming shipments match the purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Quality Control: Inspect perishable goods (produce, meats, dairy) for freshness and ensure non-perishables are undamaged.
  • Inventory Management: Rotate stock using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to minimize waste and maintain food safety standards.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and label outgoing orders for delivery to retail or restaurant locations.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately log received items and outgoing shipments into our inventory tracking system.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and loading dock area; follow all food safety and OSHA guidelines.
