Job Summary:
Ensure quality of the products while maintaining the safety of the food and employee is the highest priority of Sabrosura Foods. General Laborer (Filler) duties are to assist the supervisor/lead in day-to-day operations to fulfill orders that are scheduled with speed and accuracy. General Laborer- Filler works in a team environment where communication is imperative. There are many different machines, product and packaging used on a daily basis; learning and applying these skills to different types of product packaging is key.
Job Responsibilities:
  • A General Laborer works in a manufacturing facility and performs general labor tasks within and around the plant.
  • Place cups into sealer machine with speed and accuracy
  • Inspect for damage cups or runny product
  • Make sure labels position correctly on product where needed
  • Set Up tape machine Correctly per box/product
  • Packing into sleeves/inner packing
  • Set up Cinnamon Station
  • Check for Leakers Pack into master case and palletize properly
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling
  • Count, pack and inspects finished product for correct label, cleanliness, and integrity
  • Follows established General Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area
  • Perform periodic equipment inspections, troubling shooting, adjustments, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Performs specific tasks as assigned by production supervisors which may including moving pallets, loading, packing, dumping, and cutting

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Special certification may be required for use of forklift and chemicals
  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate computer programs as needed
  • One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and up.
  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility.
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements.
  • Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Able to work a multi shift environment.
  • Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities.
  • Exposed to cold (40ยบ)/ heat/ humidity.
