Job description

The office manager answers the store phone and takes care of all cash and office paperwork daily for our Frankfort and Lebanon store locations.  This person will split time between both stores.
Essential Functions:
  1. Provide excellent customer service to our team members, customers and vendors.
  2. Answer store telephone, transfer calls/take messages, etc.
  3. Count money and reconcile cash from previous days sales.
  4. Update all daily reports (daily journal, sales/credit card report and over/short).
  5. Review cashier reports to find cash over/shorts.
  6. Apply payments as they are received.
  7. Pick up mail daily and distribute to the appropriate people.
  8. Turn in credit applications to central office.
  9. Print off Do It Best invoices daily from DIB website.
  10. Enter all materials that come in from packing slips.
  11. Invoice all orders that are received. Help resolve issues with purchase orders before sending to central office.
  12. Write the inventory receipt number on all DIB and vendor invoices and scan and email to central office daily.
  13. Attach PO bar code sticker to all packing slips and scan into Spruce system.
  14. Order office supplies for store.
  15. Keep rewards cards up to date in Spruce system and on the Do It Best website.
  16. Check email frequently throughout the day and correspond as needed.
  17. Run cash register as needed.
  18. Help customers on the sales floor.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

  • Good customer service skills.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This position will mostly be indoors at our store but occasionally may walk outside to the yard to get information from employees.  Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; read, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Weekdays, Mon – Fri.
Travel: Daily to bank and/or post office.  Travel between our Frankfort and Lebanon stores.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED diploma or one to three years of related experience or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of office management/reception experience a plus.
  • 1+ years of Retail experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation.
