Job description

Scope of Responsibilities: Works under direct supervision of a pharmacist.  Follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks

Job Summary: Assist pharmacy staff in the triaging of incoming prescriptions, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping of prescriptions to all Kinney Drugs Pharmacies


Job Duties:

  • Executes the plan – Able to learn and understand specific aspects of the pharmacy management system, follows instructions, and completes tasks with a sense of urgency, responsible for daily department standards’
  • Quality focused – understands and embraces the importance of our Quality Assurance Policy & Procedures; understands and embraces all patient care programs and initiatives
  • Assist in the triaging of incoming prescriptions
  • Provide quality customer service to all our Kinney Drug stores
  • Perform housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a professional environment, including replenishment of necessary vials and dispensing containers, labels, and computer paper supplies. Also sweeping, sanitizing, organizing your workstations
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information
  • Must keep current with all State and Federal requirements as related to conditions of employment
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Must be able to meet daily team deadlines and team/personal hourly quotas
  • Responsible for assisting in maintaining pharmacy inventory including the checking in of orders, transfers, and stock rotation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:

Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED

Preferred: AS Degree or Higher

Experience:

  • None; On-site training

Special Conditions of Employment

  • Drug test
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
  • Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position

Compensation:

$16.00 an hour
