Job Shift: AM Shift, 6:30am to 2:30pm. 5 days per week, Fridays and Saturdays off.

Summary/Objective:

This is for the Day Shift Packing Position.

As a Packing Associate, you will be responsible for the packing, completion, and organization of customer orders. It is important that a level of cleanliness, food safety, and EHS Compliance is maintained at all times.

Como asociado de empaquetado, usted será responsable de empacar, completar y organizar los pedidos de los clientes. Es fundamental mantener en todo momento los estándares de limpieza, seguridad alimentaria y cumplimiento de las normas de EHS (medio ambiente, salud y seguridad).

Essential Requirements

  1. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  2. Must be at least 18 years old.
  3. Must have self-reliable transportation
  4. Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  5. Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
  6. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately operate bakery equipment and maintain GMP standards.
  7. Collect, gather, and organize equipment and utensils for the next production day.
  8. Preparing and assembling boxes or crates.
  9. Organize and distribute customer orders according to an invoice slip.
  10. Loading product into boxes using specific counts with accuracy.
  11. Stacking and applying labels to customer orders.
  12. Assist with Team members to complete necessary duties.
  13. Provide real time feedback on any issues encountered during the work shift.
  14. Perform misc. “lite sanitation” duties (Dusting, sweeping, etc.).
  15. Perform other duties as needed.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a warehouse and manufacturing facility. The role routinely uses standard packing equipment such as box cutters, tape guns, and pallet wrappers. Movement within the packing area can at times become limited due to customer needs, and due to this immediate adaptation by the employees is required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands consist of significant walking, lifting and moving of trays, removal of debris/dough from conveyor belts, lifting boxes of approximately 50 lbs. and be willing to work in a hot, humid environment. Any cleaning is expected to be done using typical procedures commonly found in the industry.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a non-exempt, full-time position. Work on holidays and weekends will be required. Days and hours of work are to be determined on a case-by-case basis, but should reflect closely to 6:30am to 2:30pm for the day shift. The job may have additional time required on the end of any given day, depending on the needs and timing of the production shift, you must be willing to stay and perform duties as assigned.

Entorno de trabajo:
Este puesto se desempeña en un almacén e instalaciones de fabricación. El rol implica el uso habitual de equipos de embalaje estándar, como cúteres, dispensadores de cinta y máquinas envolvedoras de palés. La movilidad dentro del área de embalaje puede verse limitada en ocasiones debido a las necesidades de los clientes, por lo que se requiere una rápida capacidad de adaptación por parte de los empleados.

Exigencias físicas:
Las exigencias físicas incluyen caminar considerablemente, levantar y mover bandejas, retirar residuos o masa de las cintas transportadoras y levantar cajas de aproximadamente 50 libras (aprox. 22,7 kg), así como la disposición para trabajar en un ambiente caluroso y húmedo. Se espera que las tareas de limpieza se realicen siguiendo los procedimientos habituales del sector.

Tipo de puesto y horario previsto:
Es un puesto a tiempo completo sujeto a las normas de horas extra (no exento). Se requerirá trabajar en días festivos y fines de semana.
