Job description

Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of UTZ Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Packer to work1st shift for our manufacturing facility in Algona, WA.

As a Packer, this candidate will be responsible for putting the proper number of acceptable bags in boxes, stacking on pallet or conveyor and palletizing finished product for shipment.

This position works on 1st Shift Monday-Friday at 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMwith some Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned.
  • Generates computer labels with correct code date information.
  • Assembles cardboard and affix labels on boxes for packaging.
  • Inspects bags for proper weight, air, integrity, seal graphics and code dates.
  • Responsible for correct number of acceptable bags per case and proper packaging methods.
  • Stacks finished product on conveyor or pallet per specifications.
  • Reworks product as needed.
  • Keeps workstation clean and orderly.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience working in food processing facility preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under constant pressure of production line environment.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift to 12 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Starting payrate: $19.89 per hour

During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours. In addition to PTO, Utz offers 6 paid company holidays each year.
