Job description

Position Title:  Warehouse Associate
Department:  Warehouse
Reports To:  Warehouse & Shipping Coordinator
FLSA:  Non-Exempt
 
Position Summary:
The NMA Warehouse Associate is a hands-on individual who will assist with all warehouse shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution activities. The associate will maintain a safe and stabilized work environment. This role ensures products, materials, and supplies are efficiently shipped, distributed, and/or received, including taking precautions to secure warehouse contents against damage or loss.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure efficient shipment or receipt of outbound or inbound materials, parts, or products.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all receiving documents by collecting and matching forms (PO, packing slip, computer printout) related to receiving activities.
  • Comply with all documented operational procedures to ensure compliant and safe department operations.
  • Examine outbound shipments to ensure they meet specifications and prepare parcels and freight in compliance with local, company, and legal requirements.
  • Track and document all shipping or receiving information for the data center.
  • Maintain communication and engagement with managers, vendors, and internal customers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education Licenses/Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • OSHA Forklift Certification or eligibility for certification.
Experience:
  • Experience with Helpdesk or Ticketing Systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrate objectivity, professionalism, integrity, and honesty in dealing with people at all levels and facilitate an open and honest environment.
  • Capable of integrating information from various sources to prioritize and manage operations.
  • 3-4 Years of Relevant or Related Experience Preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and general logistics fundamentals.
  • Ability to lead multiple activities concurrently.
  • Strong teammate with experience working in multi-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing available tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks on time.
  • Ability to seek assistance from the Manager when delays arise or are repetitive.
  • Provide support to end users and respond to Help Desk tickets.
Working Conditions:
  • Regular work in a warehouse setting: frequently lifting, stooping/bending, squatting/crouching, balancing; lifting and carrying 50 lbs.; sufficient mobility to enter/exit vehicles and drive to various locations.
  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to manage stress and maintain productivity under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Regular interaction with team members, clients, and other stakeholders through various communication channels.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to maintain stationary position for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to move short to moderate distances.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
