Job description

Purpose

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately picking, staging, and packaging hardware for customer orders and internal manufacturing. This role ensures orders are processed efficiently, meet quality standards, and ship on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick hardware to fulfill customer sales orders using pick lists and/or handheld scanners
  • Pull and stage material required for manufacturing orders
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications for accuracy

Packaging & Shipping

  • Package completed orders to meet customer and company standards
  • Process and ship parcel orders independently (e.g., UPS/FedEx systems)
  • Coordinate with Shipping Coordinator for LTL shipments (palletizing, labeling, documentation)

Material Handling

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or man lifts safely and efficiently
  • Move, stage, and organize materials within the warehouse

Quality & Accuracy

  • Inspect materials and finished orders for damage, defects, or discrepancies
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy in picking, packing, and shipping

Workplace Organization & Safety

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions

Core Competencies
