Department: Manufacturing & Distribution - Assembly
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Romeoville, IL - Distribution Center
Reporting To: Odair Dafonseca
Compensation: $20.00 / hour
Description
The Shipping/Packer associate is responsible for processing and packing all orders that are produced onsite according to company procedures while following safety practices and rules. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for all receiving activities including the loading and unloading of material. Computer skills and operating a forklift are required along with the ability to lift heavy material up to 50 pounds.
We are currently experiencing a heavy workload and thus working 12 hour days, including a few hours on Saturdays.
How You Will Help:
  • Use company software to process each order.
  • Package all customer orders consistent with company standards utilizing UPS, FedEx and LTL order.
  • Operate a sit down and stand-up forklift truck to load all outgoing material and unloading all incoming material
  • Label material according to customer specifications
  • Move material to new locations as needed
  • Must follow all safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
  • Clean designated areas of warehouse as needed
  • All other duties/tasks as assigned

What You Will Bring:
  • +1 year Shipping/Receiving experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to operate computers and related technology in a warehouse environment, including inventory systems and data entry tools.
  • Requires standing
  • Repetitive use of both hands
  • Constant awareness of surroundings
  • Requires pushing/pulling/lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Good Verbal and written communication skills
  • Good math skills with demonstrated attention to detail.

Currently looking for 1st shift candidate. Our shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am- 4:00pm.
  • 12 hours shift - 5:30am to 5:30pm
  • 10 hours shift - 6:00am to 4:00pm
