Job Summary:
The E-Commerce Fulfillment Shift Lead plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce fulfillment team. This position is responsible for directing, training, and supporting associates to ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders. The Shift Lead helps maintain operational efficiency, inventory integrity, and a safe and positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
  • Lead and supervise a team of fulfillment associates during assigned shift.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity in picking, packing, labeling, and shipping operations.
  • Train new and existing team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other shift leads and managers to communicate operational issues and suggest improvements.
  • Perform hands-on fulfillment work as needed to support team productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift.

Inventory Management
  • Support inventory control efforts by reporting discrepancies, assisting with cycle counts, and ensuring proper item handling.

Fulfillment Operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely order processing in accordance with daily targets and SLAs.
  • Use handheld scanners, WMS, and shipping software to track and fulfill orders.
  • Complete shift logs, reports, and communication handoffs accurately.

Compliance
  • Enforce safety standards and immediately report any incidents or hazards.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and fulfillment procedures.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years old to apply
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce or warehouse fulfillment operations.
  • Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes (picking, packing, inventory systems).
  • Comfortable using handheld scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and shipping software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead by example and motivate a team.

Physical Requirements:
