Storeroom Attendant
Role Purpose / Mission
The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for performing daily assignments, managing inventory, and supporting the overall operation of the storeroom to ensure materials and supplies are available for production and internal customers. This role assists in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting storeroom and supply chain processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily assignments and participate in projects to maintain storerooms and inventory control procedures.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming supplies, verifying invoices and packing slips.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Deliver supplies and materials to departments, ensuring internal customer needs are met.
  • Package and prepare outgoing orders to minimize damage and loss.
  • Enter and maintain inventory data in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal customers to address urgent supply needs.
  • Monitor front gate controls and security camera/recording systems when required.
  • Assist with unloading coil trucks and properly identifying materials for storage or production.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance storeroom efficiency and service.
  • Serve as backup for safety personnel and other assigned duties as needed.
