Description
Staff Management/SMX reliable and safety-conscious associates responsible for production assembly activities, ensuring specification adherence are met while maintain food safety standards and productivity goals. Work on weekends and holidays may be required.
FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build kits of dry goods, liquor, beverage and equipment items into airline containers according to airline specifications
  • Assembles completed kits and various bulk items into airline carts, carriers, etc. according to specifications, boarding check-sheets and assembly diagrams.
  • Keeps production areas in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Documents inventory usage in compliance to regulatory and company requirements
  • Comply with hygiene, jewelry and use of PPE requirements
  • Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous airline catering or production assembly work preferred
  • Must have a current food handler card
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Effective communication with supervisors and co-workers
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime on occasion
  • Must be able to work in an operation that is 24/7, 365-day environment and flexible with shift/day off changes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move 25-50lbs frequently
  • Regularly stands, bends, and repetitive movements during work shift

Job Responsibilities
As an Assembly and Packaging Associate, you will have a direct impact on airline customer satisfaction and be part of a team responsible for preparing products for flights out of LAX. You will be responsible for:
  • Assembling components and/or catering carts to airline specifications.
  • Packing various kits and carts for various airlines and flights,
  • Assemble kits of dry goods, liquor, beverage, and equipment items into airline containers
  • Load items into airlines carts and carriers
  • Maintain assembly area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

A key requirement for success is reliable and timely attendance. To that end, you will need reliable transportation. We are looking for flexibility to work weekends and willingness to work overtime as needed. Able to lift up to 20-50lbs, bend, lift above shoulder height. Work in cold temperatures of 40 degrees if working in Food Dept.
