Job description

SUMMARY
Packaging Specialist
**Employment will be contingent to successfully passing a drug screen and background check.**
This position is responsible for the overall packing and packaging of all beMatrix product lines. The Packaging Specialist must have knowledge in basic packaging and logistics and use of tools that such as carpentry tools, banders and wrappers. Strict adherence to all company policies, procedures and processes is a must. The packaging specialist is the final quality control inspection of products that ship from facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the list below. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
  • Wrap strap and pack product for shipment to customer.
  • Implement, follow, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for final quality control of beMatrix product (last eyes on shipment)
  • Maintain clean and organized work area and enforce the same.
  • Provide accurate information and reports as needed by supervisor.
  • Perform adequate preventative maintenance and general cleaning on company owned tools and machines as necessary.
  • Check and record completed projects for quality expectations met or exceeded.
  • Perform any additional work as assigned by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-3 years of Packaging experience, preferred
  • Forklift certified
  • Experience using Business Central and Shop Floor is a plus
  • Highly organized, able to manage priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Able to work with all levels of staff
  • Ability to bend, climb, stand, walk, turn and pivot for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull up to shoulder height up to 50lbs. without assistance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to conduct self-according to beMatrix’s operating values, which include operating with honesty and integrity, and in a spirit of teamwork and respect
  • Monday to Friday: Hours 7:00am-4:00pm with OT as needed
