Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Obtains requested Deli or Bakery items for customers, wraps or packages items, uses cash register to total order, accepts payment and makes change. While working in Deli, will fry chicken, jo jo's, burritos, put chicken on rotisserie in oven for baking. Also makes sandwiches, salads, pizzas, popcorn, cotton candy, slice meats or cheese on a slicer. While working in Bakery will slice bread and package bakery products. Also stocks and cleans Deli/Bakery areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Use hand, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment.
  • Work in a standing position from 4-8 hours a day.
  • Use good suggestive selling techniques to educate customer to products in Bakery and Deli.
  • Locate products for customers, prepare to desired request, price, label and package product.
  • Cook chicken, burritos and other hot foods, make sandwiches, salads, pizzas, popcorn, cotton candy.
  • Slice meats, cheeses, ladle salads out, obtain doughnuts, pastry, cakes from cases for customer.
  • Use store intercom to alert customers of Bakery/Deli products.
  • Keep work stations clean and sanitary.
  • Restock products as needed and garnish as needed.
  • Receive money and make change.

  • Any duties and responsibilities of the frying or baking staff.
