City : Decatur State : Alabama (US-AL) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number: 43857 A Day in the Life:The Packaging Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of packaging equipment, performing PM maintenance and making minor repairs and producing quality product per production schedule while maintaining safety expectations.Position Details:8,10, or, 12-hour schedule that will include off shifts, weekends, and rotations.Pay: $26.59 an hourBunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.What You?ll Be Doing:Operate production line equipment (votators, shortening, liquid and tote line).Troubleshoot production line issues to identify problems.Perform and complete package quality checks and respond to problems, identify and handle off-quality products, and package supplies.Interpret tank inventories and valve and pump settings to ensure the correct product is being filled and pumped.Load and unload railcars and trucks.Pump and/or dump ingredients into oil products.Collect product samples from tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for analysis.Transfer oil products throughout facility.Collect inventory of storage tanks.Operate a forklift for warehouse, loading, receiving.Maintaining a safe work environment, identifying hazards and exposures, and being willing to approach others about safety.Maintain documents for processes as required by quality and operation systems.Maintaining sanitation levels of work area.Minimum Qualifications:Good verbal and written comminicationAbility to routinely perform strenuous physical laborAbility to work at heights, around water, or in confined spacesAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to learn technical procedures using company-provided computer equipmentDependable attendancePreferred Qualifications:High school graduate or GEDAt Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
