Portland Pet Food Company is now accepting applications for a DTC Fulfillment Lead & Inventory Clerk at our SE production facility in Portland, Oregon. Please send resume if interested!

Our team works closely with our warehouse to ensure we are packaging a high-quality product that will be loved by dogs everywhere.  We need a dedicated team member who is extremely reliable. We are a team-oriented business and are growing rapidly.

Job Description: This position provides support for the Operations Department by combining two important aspects of our small business; processing and fulfilling direct-to-consumer orders and inventory management. Routine tasks include order processing, stocking, inventory counts, supply ordering, loss prevention, and general administrative tasks.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour

Schedule:  40 hours weekly – Monday to Friday – 7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Utilize NetSuite, Shopify, and various shipping platforms to fulfill direct orders

·        Pick and pack orders with 100% accuracy and on-time shipment

·        Weekly and monthly inventory management and supply ordering

·        Proficient in operating packaging & warehouse equipment

·        Possess knowledge of food safety and sanitation codes

·        Ensure quality and safety are represented in all products and procedures by avoiding and correcting all food safety issues immediately, and following & imposing company policies

·        Complete and verify required paperwork

·        Maintain facilities & equipment and impose safe work practices

·        Ensure FIFO system for all supplies, ingredients, and finished goods

Experience & Attributes

Education & Training

o   Multnomah County Food Handler’s required

o   Inventory management, FIFO and lot code training


Professional Experience

o   Food manufacturing and warehouse operations

o   Fulfillment and distribution


Technology Skills

o   ERP system such as NetSuite

o   Shopify processing

o   Shipping platforms such as Shipmate


Personal Experience & Work Ethic

o   Flexible in daily tasks and adaptable to growth and change

Physical Requirements

·        Stand and walk continuously during an 8-hour shift

·        Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds

·        Frequent stooping, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and lifting

·        Operation of basic warehouse equipment including an electric pallet jack (training provided)
