Your Role: At the Heart of the Chain
Core Duties:- Safely guide and monitor vans within the station premises, both inside and outside the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with traffic and safety protocols, including speed limits and pedestrian zones.
- Park vans in designated warehouse areas after check-in.
- Assist Operations teams during driver check-in and check-out processes.
- Verify documentation, such as delivery sheets and van condition reports, as required.
- Support van audits, including inspecting loaded and unloaded packages to identify discrepancies.
- Assist in locating missing or misplaced packages in vans or staging areas.
- Prioritize tasks based on operational requirements, with a focus on addressing bottlenecks in van flow.
- Report safety hazards, van damage, or unresolved package issues to Supervisors.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and drivers to help streamline operations.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Promote and enforce safe working methods and behaviours within the team.
- Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks.
- Respond to emergencies as required.
- Assist with unloading trailers when necessary.
- Support and assist with package sorting operations.
- Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and safety inspections.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
