We are currently looking for a Qualification Engineer for our site in Greenville (Piedmont), SC

  • Initiate, develop, and execute product re-site/qualifications in support of fiber and related finished goods changes for aerospace materials
  • Interpret and recommend qualification strategies in compliance with corporate standards
  • Develop close interactive collaborative relationships with manufacturing, quality, customer engineering, and account managers
  • Foster relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure clear communications facilitate effective and efficient requalification projects
  • Follow management of change procedures in close coordination with site and global quality organizations

  • BS Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical/Materials Engineering
  • Recent graduates welcome, experience in the Composites/Fiber industry a plus
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must set high quality standards and have a strong sense of urgency (action oriented)
  • Ability to create and lead cross functional teams engaging internal and external customers
  • Takes initiative in solving complex technical and process problems
  • Good organization skills, ability to learn and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to display and develop project management skills
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of the composite industry, including resin families, fibers
  • Understanding of fiber chemistry and manufacturing processes is highly preferred
  • Problem solving, technical presentations, relationship building and technical conflict resolution
  • Basic understanding of analytical, physical, and mechanical test methods
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis
  • Languages: English is a must.

You will get:
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
  • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
  • Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • Competitive salary (Assess the possibility to add salary range in the job ad) and benefits package
  • 16, or more weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
