PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN (FIRST SHIFT)

Mesh Optical Technologies was founded on the belief that optical photons will be at the center of advanced technologies in the coming century. Making advanced technology ubiquitous means building at scale, and that's exactly what we're doing at Mesh.

We are seeking Production Technicians to help build and scale our automated optical hardware production lines.

This is a hands-on role responsible for assembling precision hardware, operating automated equipment, and maintaining consistent, high-quality output. As an early member of the production team, you will help establish workflows, support production ramp, and contribute directly to how our factory operates as it grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble precision electro-mechanical components and subassemblies.
  • Operate automated production equipment and test systems.
  • Follow work instructions and quality procedures closely.
  • Perform visual inspection and basic functional checks.
  • Record production data accurately in MES systems.
  • Support equipment changeovers and basic troubleshooting.
  • Help maintain organized, clean, and controlled production areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or technical environments.
  • Experience working with small parts or precision assemblies preferred.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
  • Detail-oriented and process disciplined.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving hardware environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in electronics assembly, SMT, or packaging environments.
  • Experience in semiconductor, photonic, or precision manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or controlled environments.
  • Technical certification or vocational training.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Production Technician: $26.00 - $38.00/per hour

Title and base salary are determined on a case by case basis commensurate with experience and merit.

In addition to base salary, compensation for this role includes:

  • Eligibility for long-term incentives including company stock options and discretionary bonuses awarded for exceptional achievements.
  • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance with significant cost covered by the company for yourself and dependents.
  • Paid parental leave and flexible PTO (3 weeks accrued vacation and 10 company holidays per year).
  • 401(k) retirement plan access.
