Job description

Packager & Utility Packager – Ferrero (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Ferrero: Louisville
Pay Rate:
  • Packager: $17.00/hr
  • Shift Premiums: +$0.20/hr for Afternoons, +$0.30/hr for Nights
Available Shifts (Monday – Friday):Nights: 10:30pm – 6:30am Breaks: 2 paid 10-min breaks, 1 unpaid 30-min break

What You’ll Do
As a Packager:
  • Visually inspect cookies; remove defects from the line
  • Prep cookies for sleeving or rework as needed
  • Rotate sitting/standing positions every 15-20 minutes
  • Stack, organize, and move products into crates/boxes
  • Label and wrap products for quality assurance
  • Follow all safety protocols
  • Take direction from experienced team members
As a Utility Packager:
  • Clean floors; keep workspaces organized
  • Use pallet jacks to move materials to lines
  • Stock cardboard in box loader
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

What You Need
  • Proof of Grade 12 diploma or GED
  • Pre-employment screens
  • Wear provided PPE: hairnet, beard net (if needed), lab coat, ear plugs, bump cap
  • Bring your own steel-toed safety shoes and work pants (no jeans/joggers)
  • Long-sleeve t-shirts available via payroll deduction (provided by Kelly)
  • Review the communication board daily for important updates and overtime sign-up

  • Packager: $20.48/hr to start; $20.78/hr after 3 mo.; $21.09/hr after 6 mo.
  • Utility Packager: $20.66/hr to start; $20.98/hr after 3 mo.; $21.28/hr after 6 mo.
