Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and physically fit Packaging Machine Operators to join our metal manufacturing team. Positions are available for 12-hour shifts, rotating day / nigh schedule. You will set up, operate, and maintain machinery that winds, spools, wraps, and straps copper wire and metal products for shipment. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial machinery, thrives in a fast-paced 12-hour work environment, and prioritizes heavy-industrial safety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor industrial packaging machines (e.g., automatic wire spoolers, coil wrappers, and steel banding/strapping equipment). [1]
  • Material Loading: Load heavy metal spools, coils, and raw materials onto machinery using cranes, hoists, or forklifts.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished wire and metal products for proper winding tension, accurate weight counts, and surface defects prior to final packaging.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Clear mechanical jams, perform minor tooling adjustments, and execute routine preventative maintenance to minimize production downtime.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards and heavy-industrial safety protocols. Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. [1]
