About the role of Maintenance Technician: The Maintenance Technician's purpose is ensure machinery in the plant runs efficiently and optimally. Maintenance technicians will have experience working in a variety of systems and know how to diagnose, maintain, and repair different types of machinery within hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:Visually inspect and tests machinery and equipmentListens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machineDismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired partsCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machineryInstalls and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipmentLays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipmentRepairs and maintains physical structure of establishmentInstalls, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllersSet up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and toolsOperates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal partsFabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structuresOperates Hilo and diagnose Hilo problems Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role of a Maintenance Technician:Mechanically inclinedAble to use hand tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, etc.Possess basic computer skillsAble to commit to perfect attendance during the training scheduleAble to read job instructionsAble to complete required paperworkAble to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and sit as needed throughout the day Able to communicate clearly and effectivelyBenefits of a Maintenance Technician: Along with competitive pay, MNP offers employees BCBS medical, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, life insurance, flexible spending account, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) and 401(k) match, discretionary profit-sharing.
