Checkpoint Systems is seeking a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to help consumer goods suppliers and packaging companies adopt RFID solutions. This candidate should be located in/near the Bentonville, AR area

In this role, you will develop new business and build strategic customer relationships across the retail supply chain. You will help customers apply RFID labels during manufacturing or packaging—before products reach the retailer—to improve inventory visibility, meet retailer requirements, strengthen supply chain performance, and keep products available for shoppers.

RFID experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are especially interested in candidates with experience selling packaging, labeling, manufacturing, supply chain, retail technology, or other industrial B2B solutions.

Job Duties:

  • Develop new business with consumer goods manufacturers, retail suppliers, packaging companies, and label converters within an assigned territory.
  • Build and expand strategic relationships across procurement, packaging, engineering, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership.
  • Lead customers through the complete sales process—from initial outreach and discovery through solution development, pricing, negotiation, implementation, and commercialization.
  • Work closely with Checkpoint’s product, technical, operations, sourcing, and commercial teams to develop solutions that address each customer’s needs.
  • Help customers understand RFID requirements, identify the right packaging or labeling approach, and successfully introduce the solution into production.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurate forecasts, thoughtful account plans, and consistent customer follow-up using CRM tools.
  • Monitor retailer requirements, RFID adoption, packaging innovations, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Share customer insights with internal teams to help shape new products, services, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent Checkpoint Systems at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and other market-facing events.
  • Travel – this position requires travel of up to 25% to support customer relationships, industry events, and business-development opportunities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional sales experience preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 + years of successful B2B sales experience, including developing new business and growing strategic accounts.
  • 3–5 years of experience selling packaging, labeling, printing, RFID, automation, supply chain, retail technology, or related industrial solutions.
  • Experience working with consumer goods manufacturers, retail suppliers, packaging companies, or label converters is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Costco, Amazon, or other major retail supply chains is a plus.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and commercialization.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong organizational and business development skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven hunter mentality with a track record of generating new business and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong territory management and strategic account planning skills.
  • A consultative sales approach and the ability to understand a customer’s business before recommending a solution.
  • The ability to connect with stakeholders at multiple levels, from technical and operational teams to senior leadership.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all customer and business interactions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-directed and organized working style, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams while driving initiatives to completion.
