In our LABORATORY department, as the MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN or MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST you conduct laboratory testing on patient specimens including: chemical and hematological testing of blood or body fluids, and microbiological cultures of various body sites. You demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment and records, and to perform quality assurance activities related to test performance. You also function as an educator, shift leader or researcher within the clinical laboratory as needed.

  • MT, MLT or MLS will be considered for this role.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Board of Registry Certification as MT or MLT (ASCP, AMT, AD) or CS (NCA) eligible; must receive certification within one year of hire.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Associate degree, or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with elevated critical thinking skills

  • Understanding and tactful with patients, visitors, and co-workers, even under stress.
