Job description

Engineering Technician

Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Manager

Great products don't go straight from an engineer's idea to the production floor. They need someone who can take a 3D model, understand how the product is actually built, and turn that design into clear, accurate, production-ready documentation.

That's where you come in.

Pro Dig is looking for an Engineering Technician who is detail-driven, organized, and excited to work alongside engineers and manufacturing teams to bring products from concept to production.

If you enjoy CAD, solving drawing details, keeping things organized, and seeing your work become a physical product, you'll have a chance to make a real impact here.

What You'll Do
  • Create detailed production drawings and specifications from engineering 3D models and design proposals.
  • Develop drawings with the dimensions, fastening methods, and engineering details needed to bring products to life.
  • Keep drawings accurate, current, and production-ready as designs evolve.
  • Prepare and enter Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and revised products into the ERP system.
  • Communicate BOM additions and revisions to internal and external teams throughout the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
  • Create 3D parts illustrations for product manuals and reference materials.
  • Organize and maintain electronic files so the right information is easy to find when it's needed.
  • Serve as a resource for routine questions related to engineering drawings and know when to bring more complex questions to the assigned engineer.
  • Work closely with engineering and other departments to help ensure designs are accurately translated into production.
What We're Looking For
  • Two-year degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and engineering/design CAD software.
  • Autodesk Inventor experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to prioritize work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A high level of integrity and pride in producing accurate, quality work.
Why Pro Dig?

You'll work alongside engineers and manufacturing teams to help transform designs into something customers can actually use. It's an opportunity to build your technical skills, contribute to real products, and see the results of your work move from CAD screen → production floor → customer.

Pro Dig offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
Ready to Put Your Skills to Work?

If you're a detail-oriented Engineering Technician who wants to be part of the process of turning great designs into real products, we'd like to meet you.

Bring your skills. Bring your attention to detail. Help us build what's next at Pro Dig.
