JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with quality processes throughout the Parts Distribution Center (PDC) under the direction of MPA Supply Chain Management Quality & Packaging department. This role supports the continuous improvement of service quality and product packaging, helping to reduce and eliminate quality incidents within the PDC. In addition, it contributes to improved productivity, increased accuracy, and enhanced satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage the Dealer Claims process and coordinate with the HQ Manager, Outbound Quality & Packaging, HQ Packaging Engineer, and local PDC management. Support continuous improvement in outbound quality, packaging performance, and claims reduction initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage dealer Damage, Shortage, and Wrong Part claims by reviewing and investigating cases, validating supporting information with dealers, ensuring compliance with claim review procedures, and assigning liability. (25%)
  • Perform outbound quality audits, including verification of overpack SOP compliance, outbound load condition, processor quality performance, and dealer order accuracy. (15%)
  • Attend weekly DDS Carrier damage part inspections and distribute inspection findings. (10%)
  • Support root cause analysis and the development of corrective and preventive actions, while maintaining the PDC Dealer Claims Reduction Smartsheet. (10%)
  • Evaluate supplier packaging and partner with HQ Packaging Engineering to identify and recommend packaging improvements. (10%)
  • Collaborate with HQ Packaging Engineering to develop and improve PDC overpack solutions for parts with inadequate Supplier packaging. (10%)
  • Participate in weekly network-wide Quality meetings to review KPIs, identify trends, and develop corrective actions for outbound quality improvement. (10%)
  • Attend weekly DDS Carrier performance meetings to review claim trends, high-claim routes and dealers, and collaborate on improvement countermeasures. (10%)

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Monitor Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Dealer Claim reports to ensure PDC is meeting claims targets.
  • Ensure timeliness of dealer claims resolution.
  • Resolve/identify quality issues, coordinate corrective actions with the other PDCs and the appropriate Headquarters personnel.
  • Investigate packaging failures and recommend appropriate changes in PDC overpack methods. Work with vendors and HQ packaging engineer.
  • Assist Parts Help Desk and Quality Parts Technical to resolve dealer parts inspection/overpack requests.
  • Prepare reports on audit activity, vendor packaging compliance, etc. as directed by MPA SCM Quality, Packaging, SC Strategy.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

WORK SCHEDULE & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, some weekends may be required.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 4-6 years of operations, warehousing/distribution experiencerequiredBasic background in customer service,freight handling procedures, shipping, packaging requirements, and other basic quality management skills.
